The First Bebe project organized by the Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation, whose supporters are Nadia Comaneci and Gabriela Vranceanu Firea, helps the parents who are at the first task to overcome the emotions and worries present in everyone's soul when expecting the first child.
All the traveling moms are excited and come to these courses wanting to get rid of the stress effect of this miraculous process called pregnancy. Dr. Rodica Chirculescu has enthusiastically supported the course by offering her lively tips to moms.
Usually, future moms come to school with their spouses. I was very pleasantly surprised by the attitude of these future daddies who did not detach themselves from their wives at any time and who were especially amazed when they learned new things about their baby's pregnancy and evolution. The fathers said they have no emotions, but they will definitely have it at the time of birth.
All moms participating in the course are eager for information, wanting to find out as much as possible in order to maintain good health of the baby. This is the first care that grinds them: to be good for the child, and only then do they begin to think about them. For example, one of the moms, Gabi, asked the doctor for advice on how to prevent varicose veins. The question was reinforced by another mom, Gabriela, interested in the same aspect.
Mrs. Chirculescu replied with great pleasure. Like any doctor, she was happy that moms want to take care of themselves and want to know as much as possible. In fact, the doctor notes that in recent years women have been taking care of them more and more during pregnancy. One of the reasons could be, in my opinion, the increase of the beauty standards of the modern woman. Also, lately more and more pregnant women are going to work until near the time of birth. The workplace can be an additional stress factor for a pregnant woman but she keeps it active and in permanent contact with the company. Exercise is known to help mothers keep fit and recover more easily after birth. And the baby in the tummy will feel better after a little movement.
Although we live in a fast food world, I was surprised to find that future moms are trying to eat as healthy and natural as possible. Food was another topic of discussion proposed by the mothers who said they had read a lot on this topic and yet the information seemed to them insufficient and much less credible than if it came from a doctor.
Being overwhelmed by such questions, the course unfolded in a relaxed manner. Dr. Rodica Chirculescu held the course in an affectionate language and in the meaning of all. The mothers were particularly excited because at the end of the course, after all this information, the doctor had the lovely idea of organizing a focus group by dividing the students into 2 groups that had to make arguments for and against "How should a consultation proceed? ideal? " and "What do we choose: the hospital or the doctor?".
This small exercise encouraged communication between mothers and rigorous analysis of information before making such an important decision that depends on the health and safety of the mother and child. The mothers attending the course were very receptive and treated the subject very seriously considering the relationship with the doctor essential for an easy pregnancy and a smooth birth.
Moms were very disappointed when they realized that the course was over because they didn't even notice when the time was up. In addition, Mrs. Doctor caught their attention so much that they definitely wanted to know if she would still be holding dance and upcoming classes. We wish all the participants a great success, and we thank the "First Bebe" team for this admirable initiative and we say wholeheartedly: "Keep it that way!"
