Maternal assistance in control

This week, the National Authority for the Protection of the Rights of the Child will be the host of a series of meetings to evaluate the system of maternal assistance in Romania. At the meetings will be directors of the Directorates of Social Assistance and Protection of the Rights of the Child, social workers, professional maternal assistants, children - beneficiaries of this protection measure, representatives of non-governmental organizations and of the Delegation of the European Commission.

This week, the National Authority for the Protection of the Rights of the Child will be the host of a series of meetings to evaluate the system of maternal assistance in Romania. At the meetings will be directors of the Directorates of Social Assistance and Protection of the Rights of the Child, social workers, professional maternal assistants, children - beneficiaries of this protection measure, representatives of non-governmental organizations and of the Delegation of the European Commission.
These debates are part of a series of actions that will be carried out as part of an institutional twinning project, carried out together with the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport in the Netherlands and funded by the European Union.

The project also includes visits to 7 counties of the country (Vaslui, Satu Mare, Hunedoara, Gorj, Covasna, Braila, Calarasi), as well as in sector 6 of Bucharest, in order to identify the problems facing maternal care and good practices worthy of be multiplied nationally.
