In Romania, in science, 48% of boys get higher scores by 9 points compared to girls.
But these have higher math scores with 4 points, is shown in the report "International trends in the study of mathematics and science", the results of which were presented by the Institute of Education Sciences.
The mathematical results of students in classes with numbers between 33 and 40 are significantly higher than those of students in classes with lower numbers. Over 60% of the Romanian students said that at least half of the lessons were followed by the teachers conducting experiences in front of the classroom, the percentage of students involved in such experiments being much lower.

Very few students in Romania use the computer for math or science classes: 79% of them do not have computer access to science classes and 88% during math hours.
There is a higher frequency of evaluation of Romanian students in science than at international level: 50% of them are evaluated through a test once a month, the percentage of those evaluated every two weeks or less is 44%. 73% of the students are tested in mathematics at least once every two weeks, 25% more than the international average.
