In the first five months of activity, the foundation was contacted by over 1000 future mothers, who provided counseling regarding the necessary analyzes during pregnancy. According to statistics provided by the Institute of Public Health, in 2004 out of the 200,000 children born, about 5% had malformations, which represents about 10,000 of the newborns. The factors that can generally cause such malformations are multiple: alcohol, smoking, genetic inheritance, rhythm of life. At the launch of the campaign was also present the ambassador of France in Romania, Herve Bolot, who declared that he will support this step by making available the network of about 1000 documentation and information centers in rural areas, which the French embassy has created all over the country.
