Potato donuts are a delicious preparation, which can be enjoyed as a snack, dessert or as a side dish, alongside a main course!
150 g cream or milk
60 g yeast
40 g butter
flour (as it comprises)
Method of preparation
Clean the potatoes and bring to a boil, cut into cubes. After boiling, drain the water and squeeze it like puree.
Allow the potatoes to cool a little, then add, in a row, the warm milk, the yeast dissolved in a little milk, the melted butter, the yolks, the salt and a little flour. Mix the dough well and add the flour gradually, so as to obtain a dough neither too soft nor too strong, but so that it can stretch as a sheet.
Spread a thick sheet and form the round donuts with the mouth of a glass, which you put the flour before. They can also be made in Bulgarian form, directly from the dough. The donuts formed are left to rise for about half an hour.
Put the oil in a frying pan. Put the donuts in turn and turn them on one side and on the other so that they brown on both sides.
Potato donuts can also be used as a dessert, if you add a little sugar and a small bag of vanilla sugar, and then serve them with jam, jam or jam.
